The Messenger

The Messenger, founded by Bhutanese environmental advocate Jamyang Wangchuk, is a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness about climate change through powerful storytelling and innovative campaigns. Inspired by Jamyang’s journey of carrying a bottle of water from the Himalayas across Asia to highlight the urgency of environmental action, The Messenger seeks to inspire individuals and communities to protect our planet. Wangyel Studio partnered with them to create a compelling brand, an engaging website, and impactful merchandise, including their first T-shirt and poster card designs, to amplify their mission and mobilize global change.

The Challenge

The Messenger needed a brand that resonated with its mission to amplify environmental stories and mobilize change.

As a new initiative, it lacked recognition and required a strong visual identity to stand out in the crowded sustainability space.

The website had to be both informative and inspiring, while merchandise like T-shirts and poster cards needed to serve as tools for advocacy, blending creativity with purpose.

The challenge was to create a brand that felt urgent yet hopeful, grounded yet aspirational, and capable of sparking global conversations.

The Solution

Wangyel Studio developed a bold, nature-inspired brand identity for The Messenger.

A vibrant color palette of earthy greens and blues, paired with dynamic typography, conveyed energy and urgency.

The website was designed as an immersive storytelling platform, featuring striking visuals, interactive elements, and a clean layout to highlight impactful environmental narratives. For merchandise, we created a T-shirt design alongside a powerful call-to-action phrase, and a poster card series blending minimalist design with evocative environmental imagery. These elements worked together to establish

The Messenger as a bold, inspiring voice for the planet, empowering individuals to take action and share its mission.
